| Christina, Gage, and I had a blast! As always with this forum, incredible group of folks made it out for great trip. Specail thanks to Moab Rat and family for all their time and effort in setting up the route, and Brett for getting the word out and getting us all excited about going! When we get all dried out and cleaned up I will try to get a few pics posted. Thanks to all that made it out, can't wait for the next run.

| Great trip! Cleaning this effn mud is near impossible though! I will post up some pics after I download them. Once again it was great seeing some familiar faces as well as meeting some new ones. | |

| That trip was fantastic! Most fun I've had wheeling....likely ever. Special thanks to MoabRat, Gericurl & FlyJester for the leadership, coordination and by far the best campsite I've seen in years.
+1 to the "effin" mud. Took me 40 minutes with a pressure washer to get this concrete off....then another hour with the hose at home, still some left and I haven't even started with the soap.
Processing the tons of photos I took and will post up soon. Got a great group panorama from the Sun Tunnels.

| I shrunk this down a bit....the full size is cool...but the panorama just looked neat to me. [img] [/img] | |

| We had a REALLY good time. I love everyone's positive attitude and willingness to share and help out. I think that's what makes this such a good group. My truck has a shimmy above 60 mph (I still need to give it some more attention at the carwash so I'm hoping it is a mud in the rim issue causing an unbalance, not something bent from bombing mud puddles lol. Here is a link to some photos I took. Jenni (my sister) is planning on uploading hers tonight (fish eye lense) Brett's Ghost Rail Trail 2011 Pics | |

Hard as concrete. You should have seen the car wash bay when I left it. Possibly the thickest coat of mud I've ever scraped, soaked, powerblasted and hand scooped out of my undercarriage and wheelwells. I had to power blast it out of th engine bay too. Haven't even started the interior.

| WOW..great pictures everyone. MoabRat...love the sepiatone one. Gericurl, I am soooooo getting a fisheye lense...that's badass! Here's a few more of mine... The top landscape one was bracketed with 5 separate exposures, I think I only used three in the processing to creat the HDR effect (High Dynamic Range, shot at different EV settings) Getting the HDR shots was tough with the clouds moving and the wind blowing the flowers around....guess I need to figure out how to do auto bracketing with continuous shooting so that they don't have time to move as much while I changed the EV settings on the camera. The completed processed file is 70MB! The rest are single exposures that I tonemapped. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] | |

Great shots Richie. What software are you using to process? Did you sell your property?

Did you sell your property? Thanks, Brett! I'm using Photomatix Pro (best $99 I ever spent)....I'd love to be processing in PS CS5....but that'll have to wait until I'm a bit more proficient with the manual settings in my camera. Just started venturing out of Auto modes in the past month or so. Thanks for asking...still working all my deals. The guy I told you about is coming back for a 3rd showing on Monday. My other buyer comes back from Hong Kong on Wednesday. Once we're under contract these deals can close fast ...but sometimes drag out for a few months...fingers crossed.

Scott & Sarah, thanks for taking the lead. Devin, thanks for scouting out that incredible camping spot. Brett, thanks for orchestrating this event. Can't wait for the sticker Great shots Everyone, I love looking at all your photos. That processing software is awesome Richie! | I don't have waypoints but can give you a pretty good idea. We took exit 4 East of Wendover and headed North along the East side of the Pilot mountains on the T L Bar Ranch road to Patterson spring, from there we hit the Coal bank spring road and headed North to Lucin. From Lucin we went to the Sun tunnels then went back to Lucin then Headed Northeast to the old RR grade till we got to Terrace. At Terrace we decided to find a place to camp so we went over highway 30 to the Devils playground and found a awesome spot to camp for a big group. The next morning we crossed back over to the old RR grade and followed it all the way back to the Golden spike visitor center basically. Was a great run, tons of stuff to see out there.
Hope that helps! Jason.

| perfect yeah thanks, so you guys just did a lap around the lake, nice. I worked on the crew that removed the last of the tressel bridge and telegraph poles on the great salt lake so I spent a lot of time around lakeside on a barge and I always wanted to get out there and see that side of the lake more. It is so desolate and unpopulated, I love it!! I wish I still had a key to drive across the causeway, it is so cool to drive across the GSL on that sucker! I really took it for granted when I was doing it. | |
