| IT went OK I placed 6th out of 23 in my Age and 73 over all out off 311. I would be much better if I did not ran like an old lady. | |

You ran a freakin marathon! I doubt you run like an old lady, but if you do then I wish I could run like an old lady too! | |

| Oh. I must have miss-read the post above. Still, you ran 5k after riding a bike for 28 miles and swimming too... | |

| You must be a pretty damn fast grandma, to place as high as you did is pretty huge! Way to go on the triathlon, I'm way jealous. I was training last year for the mirror lake triathlon when I ruined a knee. Last year I ran the Red Rock Relay (team of 12 people for 183 miles) and i've been hooked to running ever since. | |

| Just to give you an idea of my running woes. I was the second fasted in the swim in my age group, Second fasted on the bike and third to last on the run. The funny thing was I ran into one of my best friends from high school who I have not seen for about 12 years and he was the fastest swimmer, rider and runner in our age group. That is going to motivate me to improve becasue I can't let him destroy me like that next year. He beat me by 9 minutes. If I could have run 3 minutes faster I would have taken second in my group. My friend ran the 5k with 6.12 mile pace while I ran at a misserable 8.40 pace so he was 7 1/2 minute faster than I was. | |

| 8.40 pace is a great pace! I can't run a 6 mile pace! I'm at a 7.5 pace right now for anything from 5-7 miles after that I drop to 9 min mile pace. | |
