If we only had one rule it would be
respect each other.
However should someone come along that is new to that concept here are some specifics:
1. No Porn or other offensive images (are you unsure if it is offensive? Don't post it).
2. No Harrassing
3. No Threats
4. Respect copyrighted materials
5. Respect each other
6. No Racism
7. No Bigotry
8. Minimum age to join is 12, use appropriate language. (This doesn't mean act like a 12 year old, unless of course you are 12)
9. There are only 2 words added to the censor list. I'm sure there are 100 ways to get around the censor and still say either. Your time and creativity will be better spent learning more intelligent words to say that won't get you banned from this board.
10. Keep political and religious posts to a minimum. If a thread gets out of hand (arguing) it will be deleted/locked, and people might get banned. Too many problems and this rule will change to "NO political or religious posting". (a good example of when a political thread is relevant would be upcoming legislature that could affect access to recreational areas)
11. Respect each other
RemindersThe internet has a way of muting things like humor and sarcasm, a smilie (emoticon) is the web's way of putting some limited emotion back in. As people get to know each other it will be easier to joke around and tease, just keep new folks in mind that may not get the jokes yet.
