Suspension Install

Installing my Icon's and Camburg UCA's down at the Ricochet shop on friday night. Anyone that wants to come lend a hand or just hang out is welcome to come.

Actually it went pretty smoothe. I was the only one cussing. lol My passenger upper ball joint just spun, and I couldn't get the nut off. So out came the grinder! About a half hour later it was off. I have to say thanks to Bob, you definately helped this go a little quicker. I owe you dinner buddy.

I do want to know how you did your air dam though. I have been looking at trying to figure something out on mine.

Man that looks sweet! I love the DO bumper too! I'm still torn between that or the ARB. I gotta get off the fence and get it done.

Air dam was done at work, cut out on the water jets. I'm just using conduit clamps to mount it. I do have a center mount that ties into the lightbar so it won't rattle on the freeway.

Thanks! I am happy with my choice. I was back and forth between the DO and the E1. I like to try to keep things local if I can but Arien at Demello gave me way too good of a deal on the bumper and suspension to pass up.

I like the E-1, but I am a little leary of drilling a hole through my frame to mount it. The DO and ARB bolt right up from what I understand. I've always liked the look of the DO and E-1.

OK Brad you have had the lift on for a bit now. What is your impression compaired to what you had before?

Overall I am pleased. Much less brake dive, ride quality is about the same, and I don't hear my upperball joints beating themselves up going over speed bumps anymore. I leveled it out last weekend after the springs settled, it could probably use an alignment. I'll probably wait for after cruise Moab for that.

I am assuming that you used the adjustable feature in the front to level? That is the one thing that has me intrigued about going that route. I love my OME but I am still a bit low in the nose. I think it is because I have heavies in the rear and mediums up front.

^^^ yeah just cranked them up. The front was a little low. I can't seem to dial out the driverside lean, it's off by 1/2". It isn't noticeable though unless you measure.
