| So I placed the order for the winch yesterday. Where are you guys mounting the contactor/solenoid?

| I've mounted the solenoid on the top of the winch, it comes with a bracket. This summer it is going under the hood though. Probably when the bumper comes off for re-finishing.
On the Ex-1 bumpers it presses pretty hard against the bottom of the bezel where the wires come out the back.

I'll try to get you some pics. It was kind of a pain really. It's going to be a little tight to reach the plug for the remote cable. Good thing it's the back up since they are RC as well.

| I bought the fully-enclosed sealed unit. I like to go wheeling with Gericurl and I might just end up underwater. Thought sealed electronics would be best!
This being said, I had to have the wonderful brain of Brad Pugmire figure out a way to mount the sucker in my MetalTech bumper. Leave it to Brad to come up with the perfect solution!
We are definitely rocking the house now!

That would be awesome Brad! I received the winch yesterday, and just need my bumper from Demello, which is still 3-4 weeks out. Thanks

| Here is about the only pic of where I mounted the box. Ideally I would have put it in the engine bay, but my dual battery makes space limited. winch roof basket 009 by cnckart, on Flickr | |

| Didn't realize you got a MT bumper. I know you had your heart on a Rocktek. I liked the RockTek until I heard how heavy they are. (heavier than plate bumpers). I still like the MT bumper though. | |
