| I'm gonna have to live that adventure through you guys. Just a heads up: I'll feel much better about missing it if you tell me it sucked. | |

| Here is a post Moab report. Weather was crappy to moderate, woke up to snow on thurs. morning. Trails were awesome, I used and abused my sliders and skids on Cliff Hanger on sat. I'll get pics up as soon as I get them. | |

| Here is my 1/3 of the Cruise Moab trip report...
The wife tried to get off work early Friday, but no dice. It was after 10 PM before we got our tent set up at Area BFE, so we missed the dinner, raffle, and vendor night. It rained most of Friday night and my POS Colman tent leaks. We woke up early Saterday for the Elephant hill run and the tent was covered in ice!
Elephant Hill is an amazing trail! The wife was completely terrified for the climb over elephant hill and bailed before the decent down switch back hill. She did take some awesome pics that I will post as soon as I figure out how. Some folks had trouble on SOB hill, but I thought it was easy, both up and down. The silver stairs was a complete blast!
My seat belt locked me down for the climb back up switch back hill and I couldn't see anything but sky. For some reason, there were no spotters on this part of the trail and I didn't want to try restarting in the middle of the steep section (manual trans), so I kept pressing on slowly until I could see Terra firma again.
My truck was the most stock vehicle in the group (no lift and stock sized tires). My lower control arms took a beating and my bumper got tagged at some point. It's a good thing I have a brand new DO bumper in my work shed waiting for another coat of paint. My sliders didn't get touched, but my skid plates took a beating! I spent several hours last night with a BAH trying to beat my front skid back into shape.
My son and I had a blast! The wife says I will never again get her up that hill, but we'll see. She had a good time on the Joint trail and even told me today that she might give the trail another try later.
Pics to follow... | |

| Hey Ern,
Sounds like you had a great time even with a shakey start.
You still plan on heading down again in a couple of weeks? Perhaps you have some idea on trails we could run?
Look forward to the pictures and looking forward to the trip!

Look forward to the pictures and looking forward to the trip! Still planning on it, but I'm starting to get the third degree from the better half... As far as trails go, what are you in the mood for? Scenery, Adventure, or both? How much time do you want to spend on the trail? I wanna do fins, but I've never done it before and it would be good to go with someone who is atleast a little familier with the trail.

| Thank you! The first three are from Cliff Hanger. That's one damn tough trail. The one with the 4runner is wipe out hill. | |

| Great pics!
On the second picture down, I think it is the old FJ80 or some such, it looks like some side body damage is eminent. Did his drivers side get some damage?
If so, may want to scratch Cliff Hanger off my list of possible trails for Moab in a few weeks.

If so, may want to scratch Cliff Hanger off my list of possible trails for Moab in a few weeks. He tagged his bumper a little on the driver side, and did some slight body damage on the passenger side. I have done this trail years ago, and it wasn't this tough, it's really been torn up. I won't do this trail again until I have 35's. I made it through but thank god for skids and sliders.

| Sweet videos! I also watched the video of you coming down wipeout hill from the outside. Your right rear tire came off the ground atleast three times! Crazy! | |
